my kind of day

(writing the post on my phone)

Hi there, greetings from Tekong. Wondering why I'm stuck here on a long weekend? I wonder why too. I got confined. Boohoo. Just because I didn't check clear my rifle. (checking clear means fake shooting your rifle to make sure there aren't any bullets left inside)

honestly, other than the Sian feeling in the beginning esp when I was waiting at the ferry terminal and on the ferry here, I was kind of anticipating the confinement day. (I sound insane) I know I should probably kill myself for making that comment since I shouldn't have made that dumb mistake and risked getting confined and ended up not having the precious time to spend with family and friends. Yes I feel like I should shoot myself in the foot for that dumb mistake. But I have never slacked so much in my life. Slack is not the correct word; rest is much better. After area cleaning, we were basically free to do whatever we want. Back home, I think I would've been distracted by the computer and spend hours doing absolutely everything that isn't any bit productive. And I would have to engage in human, interaction. I'm not complaining admitting that I'm a loner and a social failure and that i have no friends, what I'm trying to say is that having to interact with other people daily can get exhausting. Today is one of the rare days where i keep my social interactions to the minimum and literally lie in bed the whole day (i even had an afternoon nap AN AFTERNOON NAP ALRIGHT NO JOKE THIS CALLS FOR A CELEBRATION). I actually feel like I rested. Spent my day updating the blog, napped, finished a book; just my kind of day. Away from everyone else, everything else; just my kind of day.

confinement isn't that bad, if your duties are really slack. I wish I could spend the rest of my life everyday doing what I've been doing today. Sadly that remains a dream, things are only gonna get tougher and more unbearable.
